Renaissance
Egg (1894)
The
original egg was the last one ordered by Czar Alexander III as a gift
for his wife, Marie Feodorovna, in 1894 only eight months before he
died. The egg is crafted of translucent, milky white agate with gold
fittings, crisscrossed by white enamel trelliswork, each intersection
set off by four rose diamonds and a cabuchon ruby mounted in gold. It
lies on its side and opens lengthwise. Each end of the egg is
mounted with a gold lion's head holding a free swinging ring handle
in its mouth.

TBI's
carefully designed, top quality tin egg is inspired by the priceless
original of Carl Fabergé. It measures 69mm wide by 110mm in length.
TBI's
designers have patterned the inside of the egg with an authentic
velvety red background and gold trellis overlay, in keeping with
the originals, but without attempting to reproduce their wonderful
suprise interiors
